LISA MAXWELL is the New York Times Best-Selling author of young adult and middle grade fantasy, including The Last Magician Series (TLM, The Devil’s Thief, The Serpent's Curse, and The Shattered City), Unhooked, and Keeper of the Rend. Her work has won awards and has been published in 14 languages.

She grew up in Akron, Ohio, and has a PhD in English. She’s worked as a teacher, scholar, bookseller, editor, and writer. When she’s not writing books, she’s a professor at a local college. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two sons.
